Neutral tones account for 70% of the market share and are widely adopted for their ability to create a spacious feel and durability over time. A survey covering 500 home renovation projects showed that 350 chose white or gray quartz for their shower walls. Quartz mimicking marble textures has also seen significant market growth, increasing by 15% over the past year. In a high-end hotel in Beijing, designers specifically used this textured quartz to decorate all suite bathrooms to enhance the overall sense of luxury.
Bright colors such as light yellow or light blue are used to create a more vivid and lively spatial feel. Some designers like to use these colors to break traditional design norms, introducing more creativity and personality. In a renovation project involving 100 family bathrooms, about 20 projects chose designs with bright-colored quartz to create a younger and more modern atmosphere.
For users who prefer a deeper design style, dark gray or black quartz has become a good choice, with the number of users choosing this style increasing by 20% over the past year. The unique patterns formed by different colors and textures of quartz are not only beautiful but also have high artistic value. It is reported that over 30% of consumers are interested in this design style, and many high-end residential and commercial spaces have also started adopting this design.
Over the past five years, the proportion of families choosing minimalist-style quartz shower walls has increased by 25%, reflecting the growing popularity of minimalist aesthetics. In a residential project involving 100 units in Shanghai, 75 units chose all-white quartz shower walls. This design not only made the bathroom space appear more spacious but also enhanced the overall brightness and modern feel, with a resident satisfaction rate reaching 90%.
In terms of balancing functionality and aesthetics, quartz material itself has high durability and ease of cleaning, making it very suitable for consumers pursuing a simple lifestyle. Units with minimalist designs sold 30% faster than traditional designs, with units featuring minimalist-style quartz shower walls selling 85% in the first month. In a commercial exhibition in Hangzhou, an area using gray quartz attracted over 5000 visitors, and according to feedback, the visitors' satisfaction with the tranquil and focused atmosphere reached 95%.
Embossed Textures

Quartz with embossed textures is usually achieved using advanced cutting and carving techniques to ensure design precision and texture depth. A survey involving 200 residential renovation projects showed that 40 projects chose this technologically treated quartz for their shower walls, with homeowners giving high praise to this high-end custom design, the majority of feedback indicating that this design greatly improved the beauty and comfort of the bathrooms. Designers are exploring more creative and personalized options, such as mimicking natural elements in textures. At a design exhibition in Shanghai, a special area displaying quartz with natural textures attracted over 3000 visitors, demonstrating strong public interest and acceptance of innovative texture designs.
Surface Choices
Glossy and matte finishes are the most popular surface treatments on the market, accounting for 45% and 55% of the market share, respectively. Glossy quartz is favored by many users for its excellent glossiness and smooth surface characteristics. This surface treatment effectively reflects light, bringing more brightness and visual space to the bathroom. In a study covering 300 residential projects, over 90% of households that chose glossy quartz expressed high satisfaction with its bright effect and ease of cleaning. Sales of glossy quartz have grown by 10% over the past year, showing its continuous market demand.
Matte finishes provide a softer and more modern appearance. The non-reflective properties of this surface reduce the visibility of water stains and fingerprints, making it more suitable for designs that pursue understated luxury and meticulous beauty. In a survey on consumer preferences, 88% of users who chose matte quartz felt that matte better met their needs for modern minimalist aesthetics. The use of matte quartz in commercial space projects has grown by 12% over the past two years.
New types of surface treatments are also emerging on the market, bringing unique visual effects to quartz surfaces. About 30% of designers say they prefer to recommend quartz with these new surface treatments because these materials can bring additional visual attraction and uniqueness to high-end design projects. Especially in exhibitions and special events, the proportion of projects using these materials has increased by 18%.
